Brew
Guides

We made these brewing guides to share our suggestions for how to make delicious coffee with some of our favorite tools of the trade. We use a simple kitchen scale and timer, because they help us stay consistent. But if you aren’t into exact measurements, no worries! Half of the fun of coffee is making it just the way you like it. So, experiment...and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Start with fresh, whole bean coffee and grind immediately before brewing to capture the best flavors in your cup.
  • Use a burr or hand grinder for a uniform grind. More consistent grind = more consistent flavor in your cup.
  • A scale removes the guesswork but coffee has been made without a scale for a long time, so if you don’t have one, no biggie.
  • A gooseneck kettle makes it easier to control your pour, but if you don’t have one see above!
  • Again, we’re all about having fun. Play around with ratios and grinds, and find your sweet spot. Before you know it, you’ll be a master barista!
